He was brought up be polite and to be honest, and well mannered and generally be a nice person.
So he is, he couldn't hurt a fly, mainly because he'd probably hurt himself more in the process.
He's a happy go lucky kid, likes the simple things, he is easily amused, you could give Jack a piece of string and he'd find some way of making it fun.
He's self conscious, as a kid he got picked on, he was always sick and always getting picked on, staying off school, his parents thought he was trying to get out school because of bullies but when he passed out at school when he was 11, it was discovered he has Sickle Cell Anemia.
He gets sick a lot, this makes him worn out, and feeling pathetic, but he always has a smile on his face.

Dislikes: His illness, horror movies, paranoia, his mother's schizophrenia
Pain, STD's, dwarfs.
Other: Jack suffers from the blood disorder, Sickle Cell Anemia, passed from both his parents to just him out of his 5 siblings.
This means he has chronic Anemia, and cannot partake in physical education, and often looks pale, has problems walking or moving about, sometimes he can't get out of bed or passed out randomly.
He wears a chain, with a little vile on it, that contains a small note, explaining that should he be found passed out, you need to get him to the school nurse.
His parents are just carriers, not affected, his aunt, had it, and died from it, he is aware, he will not live past approximately 40, and he's fine with it, therefore, he lives everyday as if it was his last.
He has a fear, and it's a vicious one, he fears never having children, and not carrying on his family, but, he fears if he had children, would they suffer like he does, he doesn't want to have them suffer, but he loves children, and wants children. He's looking to adopt when he's ready.
He's also afraid of heights, passing out in a place or time of importance, dwarfs, being taken hostage by an escaped prisoner, being buried alive, and he doesn't like fire very much.
History: Arthur Jackson Tanton-Smith, mostly known as Jack, is a very special 17 year old young man. He isn't a boy, he's very grown up, he's had to step up and be the man of the house and he wouldn' have it any other way.
He's a very caring soul, he thinks way too deep and way too much, he looks after everyone before himself.
Jack was born to Dane and Rosa, joining his older two Smith siblings, Lacey and Harry.
His mother, a sufferer of Paranoid Schizophrenia, and was in and out of hospital throughout his early life, until she began to get cared for at home.
His parents got divorced 3 years after the birth of twins, Alexander, and Alexandra, after Rosa became depressed, and Dane took the twins, and currently lives on a farm with them.
Jack was cared for by his older brother and sister, Lacey now aged 24 and Harry is now 20, they looked after him for two months until his grandfather moved in with the family, allowing Lacey to move out, and move to New York, where she now is a manager for a Hooters bar, who supplies Jack with tee shirts and when he's old enough, a VIP pass, all the girls know him, and love him, and he's like their little brother.
His older brother Harry, is studying in Oxford University in England.
Jack's grandfather Robbie, is an influential man on Jack, and is his idol.
He taught him how to care for himself and his family.
When Jack was in school, he would get teased, for having a mental ill mother, and he'd always complain he didn't feel so good, but his parents would think it was because of the bullies, he got put into a different school, but it continued, until he collapsed when he was 11, in school.
It was then, that they discovered Jack suffered from an hereditary blood disease, Sickle Cell Anemia.
Basically, he has chronic Anemia, he's usually quite okay, just tired and feeble.
People who are anemic often feel weak and tire more easily.
People with sickle cell anemia can also experience complications from blood circulation and infection-fighting problems. These include a higher risk of certain infections and stroke as well as a condition called acute chest syndrome, which is caused by infection or trapped red blood cells in the lungs.
Sickle cell anemia is not contagious, so you can't catch it from someone else or pass it to another person like a cold or other infection. People with sickle cell anemia have inherited two sickle cell genes, one from each parent. A child who has inherited the sickle cell gene from only one parent will not develop the disease, but will have sickle cell trait. People who have sickle cell trait don't have sickle cell anemia or symptoms of the disease, but they can pass the sickle cell gene to their own children.
However, Jack has it in his head, if he has children, they too will suffer like he does, when. Unless he conceives with a girl who has the same trait, they will be carriers, like all but one of his siblings.
He is the only one affected, his older sister doesn't even carry the gene, the others do, like his parents are just carriers.
Jack was just unlucky.
But he doesn't feel unlucky, and he fucking HATES sympathy, he doesn't need it, he doesn't want it, he feels he doesn't deserve it.
He feels lucky to be alive, lucky to have family and be in a good school.
He has great friends who know when he's sick and look after him.
He's a fundraiser, holding many charity events to raise money for different charities.
Especially for the organisation who helps look after his mother.
He goes home every night to her, and is like her parent, helps her when she goes through a bad stage, he isn't afraid, he knows, if she could, she'd look after him, but it isn't possible.
He works in an animal shelter, he's paid for it, but its flexible, so if he needs to jet off to be with his mother, or to go home if it's sick, it's totally fine.
He's a great student, always doing something for school, really good grades, and he goes to church every Sunday.
He is a great believer in god, and he's not a preacher, he just asks that people don't tease him for having faith, because it's not like he pushes it on anyone.
Without God, family, friendship and an IV drip guaranteed whenever he needs one, Jack probably would have given up on trying to live his life a long time ago.
With the knowledge of knowing he'll probably die in his mid 40's he is still a very happy and positive young man, who would do anything to make someone cheer up and be happy.
Oh, and his name. EVERYONE knows him as Jack, only his grandfather calls him Arthur, no one except perhaps his mother gets the priviledge.
Tanton is his step father’s and now mothers married name, for she is married, but his step dad Greg, is also a mental health patient, but not as much as his mother and is able to control himself and the Smith is his father’s name and grandfathers surname.
He gets called Jack, the Pumpkin King, for his love his macerbe, and the film Nightmare Beofre Christmas, and because of his pale, emicated skeleton appearance, it's an over reaction, of when he went through a bad time two years ago, and had to stay in hospital for a few weeks, when he came back, he was Jack, the Pumpkin King.
